David R. Kennedy J.D.
David was born and raised in Smiths Falls and graduated from SFDCI. He attended the University of Ottawa for his undergraduate work and finished his Honors B.A. in Political Science at C.C.U. and Regent’s College at the University of the State of New York. He completed his legal education at Washington State where he was the managing partner of a law firm with offices in Bellevue, Everett and Monroe, Washington.
David continues as a general practitioner here at Kirkland Murphy & Kennedy assisting clients in Real Estate, Family Law, Business Law, Wills and Estates, Personal Injury and Criminal Law. He has successfully litigated thousands of cases in both civil and criminal matters. He has also acted as a District Court Judge in Snohomish County, Washington.
Professional Activities
David is a member of the Lanark County Law Association, Law Society of Upper Canada, National College for DUI Defense, Washington Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, Washington State Trial Lawyers Association, Washington State Bar.
Civic Activities
David is a recent past member of the Monroe City Council, Snohomish County Bar Association Board of Trustees, but finds his greatest pleasure as a minor hockey coach and brittle bones league player.
David is a proud husband and father of three.
